Who is Reyjr?

The Author

Reyjr was born Reynante Rombawa, Jr. to parents Engr. Rey Sr. & Malyn at midnight on March 11, 1982. He is their only son, the middle child between siblings Mai and Jett.

He graduated Valedictorian of his Elementary school batch 1995 from Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Pasig, and completed his secondary school studies in 1999 at the Philippine Science High School in Quezon City.
Throughout his elementary and high school years, particularly notable is his enthusiasm to participate in both curricular and extra curricular events, both academic and artistic competitions as well. In high school, he was a member of the school's Glee club, the modern dance club, the Math club and the Art Club.

In 1999, Reyjr began his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering course at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. It was also during that year when he joined the world renowned chorale group, the UP Concert Chorus (UPCC), where his artistic inclinations were further developed.

He joined the UPCC International Concert Tours as Tenor and Soloist in 2000, 2003 and 2004, for the last one also as the group's President. With the UPCC, he traveled around the United States of America, and in European countries like Germany, Italy, France, Austria, Spain, the United Kingdom and the Scandinavian countries Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

While still with the UPCC, Reyjr joined the cast of the musical "Bayan Isang Paa Na Lamang", an award winning story set into music by the late National Artist, Maestro Lucio San Pedro.

It was also in the UPCC where he met and fell in love with now girlfriend, Liz.

In 2005, he graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman, and a year later became a Registered Mechanical Engineer.

Reyjr is currently based in the Batangas province and working as an engineer for an oil refinery.
