Fish Spa at the Manila Ocean Park

____________________________________________

Our day at the Manila Ocean Park was well spent. Liz and I enjoyed looking at the colorful fishies and reading about their characteristics and such - and we even found Nemo!  When we got to the end, we had a nice view of the Manila Bay and an option to either take a glass bottom boat ride or have our feet eaten nibbled by fish... at a Fish Spa!

Doctor Fish ate our feet

It costs only P100 (~$2.00) and you get a free towel. Lol! But not advisable if you're squeamish about putting your feet in a shallow pool with fishes... and a whole lot of other people's feet. Hehe hehe...

The small fish are called Doctor Fish.

Oh, and if you're really ticklish, you should find someone or something to hold on to and prepare yourself to scream when you put your feet in the water. Haha! They tickle very VERY much.

The moment you put your feet in the water, dozens of Doctor Fish attack your feet and bite at them with their tiny mouths. No, it's not painful at all, but you do get a tingling sensation - ehem - at every bite. It's like getting a Doctor Fish pedicure. :p

After a while the tickling will subside and you get to enjoy the fish spa treatment more, the Doctor fish's tiny mouths nibbling at your feet. After the pedicure treatment, your feet will feel "clean" and smooth. :)

The Manila Ocean Park Operating Hours

The Manila Ocean Park is a great hangout place, be it with your family, with your girlfriend / boyfriend or with a group of friends.  They are open daily including Holidays from 10am to 6pm. Entrance costs Php400.00 - not bad really. You will definitely get your money's worth!

Check out more of our Manila Ocean Park trip photos here and see me talking to a school of fish. (Yes, I can speak to fish because I'm a Pisces. :O)

  2. Haha! :p
From my experience though, it wasn't at all "malansa" (what the heck is this in English?).

Didn't get to see the dancing jellies - yun ba yung nag sasayaw sa ilalim ng tubig na mga babae?

  5. Have you tried other fish spas in Manila? There's a new fish spa in Makati that uses authentic Garra Rufas or doctor fish. You can feel the difference once you tried their fish spa. you can view their facebook page here: http://www.facebook.com/DoctorPiscesFishSpa
